Book Review: Mormonism

Mormonism by Trent Horn “takes an inside look at the beliefs and practices of this fast-growing religion.”

This short booklet was full of excellent content written intelligently and approachably. The way Horn organized this booklet was great. He took the time to explain Mormon beliefs, provide Biblical evidence for their beliefs, and then provide Catholic responses. I appreciated that he took the time to explain where the Mormon beliefs come from rather than just stating them and dismissing them. Horn also was cautious to respect Mormon beliefs despite being in disagreement with them. He addressed myths and avoided sharing some private, sacred practices. In addition to answering questions about the Mormon faith, he provided practical tips for having charitable conversations with Mormons. I would recommend that anyone who wants to engage in a conversation with Mormon friends, family members, or missionaries.
